Plane With Two People On Board Crashes Into A House

Late Monday night, August 18, a plane crashed into a house in Connecticut near the Groton-New London.

According to the Groton police, the small plane crashed into a home on 225 Ring Drive a few minutes before 11 pm, barely two miles from the airport.

Footage of the incident shows the jet wing and tail of the plane sticking out of the roof of the house.

The scene of the crash was cordoned off with at least five fire and police departments arriving at the scene, the area in front of the house was blocked off too.

According to WFSB, police said two people were on board the plane when it crashed.

They were both taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There was also one man inside the home, but he was reportedly not injured.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Homes within the area were evacuated in the area due to fuel leaking from the plane, The Sun reports.
