Just six days to the tension-soaked governorship election in Edo, efforts are being made to ensure that the exercise is not marred by irregularities and sponsored crimes.

This is coming from the assurances made by security agencies, some of which would be deployed to the state ahead of the poll.

The agencies are calling on the people of the state, especially the electorate, to carry out their responsibility without fear of violence as they would be on the ground to quell such.

Security agencies made the promise when they held an inter agencies’ combined exercise, tagged: Inter Agencies Show of Force.

The spokesperson for the Edo police command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, told journalists that the reassurance had become very important in order to allay fears by the electorate.
