Guinness Nigeria ambassador, Prince Enwerem has said he is determined to use his position as a Guinness Ambassador to help groom young talents and preserve the Igbo culturap heritage.

Enwerem, a former housemate in the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Nigeria Reality TV show, BBnaija, spoke in Enugu during the Guinness Smooth Homecoming.

According to him, the Igbo people love to celebrate their cultural heritage and they are willling to embrace anything that gives them the opportunity to do that and that is exactly what Guiness is all about.

He said that as an ambassador, he will encourage people, through platforms provided by Guiness to harness their God-given talents and skills in other to make a living for themselves.

He noted that the season of festivity is season of the Eastern promise. “It is why my people, the people of the East, travel en masse to be with family, to immerse in the extraordinary goodness of home. It is also why Homecoming with Guinness Smooth is such a beautiful way to celebrate the bold and extraordinary ways of my people, our culture, our heritage and our very unique spirit of enterprise” he said.

Speaking further, he said “am bringing originality and our cultural heritage to the forefront as one who is particularly interested in celebrating what we are known for and having grown to understand how hardworking and entrepreneurial our people are”.

He noted that “Our people go all out to achieve their dreams and that is one thing i support so much and looking at the way the world is moving now, you have to make good use of your talents to survive.”

He maintained that Guinness has done well in terms of helping to sustain the culture of the Nigerian people and their business generally and that is why they have stayed long in the country, hence the need for them to keep up the good work.
The immersive experience held to celebrate heritage and set the tone for exciting festive celebrations, was also intended to have consumers enjoy the bold, distinct and magical character of Guinness this festive season.

The event which was well attended by lovers of the Guinness brand in Enugu had music stars like fast tone rapper, Romeo Max, thrilling the audience as they enjoyed the latest addition to the Guinness family at the Crystal Sea Bar and Event Centre, Enugu.

On what has changed since he was announced an ambassador, he said ” alot has changed about me because Guinness is a very big and global brand. And i am very grateful because they have taken me up the notch. They have made me a brand on my own. And the love has been amazing”.

Speaking further, he said “they have been supporting me. It is not all brands that give you the kind of support you need. But Guiness has been doing that”.

Earlier, Marketing & Innovation Director, Guinness Nigeria, Adenike Adebola, explaind that Guinness has celebrated Nigerian heritage with bold and extraordinary activations.

She said that Homecoming is another extraordinary opportunity to celebrate the pride, enterprise and undeniable magic of the East.
“With these magical eastern activations, we renew our commitment to celebrating Nigeria’s rich and colourful heritage.” she said.

Other highlights of the Guinness Homecoming were fan engagement with Prince ‘Nwakaibeya’ Enweren and a dazzle of light.

Guinness Smooth, which is the most recent addition to the Guinness family, is a distinctly smooth and refreshing taste, with the perfect balance of flavours ideal for enjoyment while catching up with friends and loved ones.

The series of Homecoming activations including festive gifting, intra-city bar storm and a Smooth Hangout, which began on 12th-13th of December in Enugu, continues on 19th-20th and 26th-27th in Owerri and Aba respectively.
