Senator Shehu Sani on Monday congratulated the celebrated politician and former governor of Lagos Bola Tinubu on clocking 69.

In a tweet, Sani a former Kaduna South legislator advised Tinubu to get a trusted person to interprete Hausa and Fulfulde.

“Happy 69th Birthday to Asiwaju. He is a phenomenal politician and a democrat who played an outstanding role in the struggle for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria. My advice; Get Someone you trusted to always translate to you what is said in Hausa and Fulfulde,” he said.

Tinubu was over the weekend in Kaduna for the Arewa House lecture where he spoke on reducing the cost of governance in northern Nigeria in the post-COVID-19 era for youth development.

The former Lagos governor has begun holding consultations across the nation especially among northerners for his presidential bid in 2023.

However, Bola Tinubu, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain on Monday, urged the Federal Government to recruit at least 50 million youths into the Nigerian Army to boost Nigeria’s fight against terrorism, banditry, and all forms of internal and external security threats confronting the nation.

Tinubu spoke at the 12th colloquium to celebrate his 69th birthday in Kano State. He said, “We are under-policed and we are competing with armed robbers and bandits to recruit from the youths who are unemployed —33 percent unemployed?”

“Recruit 50 million youths into the army,” he stated, adding that “what they will eat —cassava, corn, yam, will grow here.” He added, “Don’t talk about illiteracy, anybody who can hold a gun, who can handle a gun, who can cock and shoot is technically competent to repair a tractor in the farm.” The colloquium held in Kano was themed, ‘Our Common Bond, Our Common Wealth:
