Rochas Okorocha, Former Imo State Governor has finally reacted to the attacks on security facilities in Imo State. The lawmaker cautioned against politicizing the security challenges in the state.

He also tied the recent attacks on poverty and injustice while briefing journalists on Thursday in Jos. He called on the government to urgently address the issues before it escalates.

“The recent attack on the police headquarters, the Correctional Centres in Imo State, the unending herdsmen crisis and banditry, Boko Haram, kidnappings, these are all products of poverty and injustice,” he said.

The time has come for us as political leaders to tell ourselves the truth and address this ugly situation and help our men and women of the Armed Forces and the police who are currently fighting the symptoms and not the disease. Something must be done urgently too.”

The Imo State Housing Corporation has revoked 49 plots of land belonging to Jessdean Ventures Limited. of No. 3 Okeoma close Tran Egbu Layout said to be owned by Mrs. Geraldine Obinali.

Geraldine Obinali is the elder sister of the former Governor of the state, Senator Rochas Okorocha.

The revocation is contained in a statement signed on Monday, by the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the state Housing Corporation, Mr. Chinedu Mbakwe-Obi, and media aide to the General Manager, Enwerem Prince.

The statement further disclosed that the revoked plots of the land in Redemption Estate Phase III were issued to Geraldine Obinali (nee Okorocha) for the sole purpose of providing infrastructural facilities which were never carried out.

The corporation directed anyone who had transacted business on any of the plots of land to approach it for ratification.
