Anambra Commissioner Of Police Introduces Civil Policing

The new Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Christopher Adetokumbo Owolabi has vowed to introduce complete civil policing where everybody across the State will be a stakeholder, this he said, will certainly reintroduce relative peace and harmony among the citizenry.

CP Owolabi who has served in the State Police Command for soild four years plus as the second-in-command before been elevated to the rank of the Commissioner of Police said although he assumed duty as the 30th Commissioner of Police in the state at the time the nation’s security architecture is facing serious challenges, however said he anchors on God who knew why He brought him back in the State at this critical and trial period for the nation’s security.

Speaking during an introductory meeting with media practitioners in Anambra State, held in the Police Command Headquarters, Awka, the CP pleaded with all aggrieved youths in Anambra State to shealt their sword and come forward with possible way of assisting the police to serve the public better.

Assuring that he has come to introduce lastest model of civil populace policing strategy, the Nigeria – British dual citizen said he will soon embark on crusade tour across the State, aimed at reaching out to Ndi-Anambra on the need for the citizens to give the State Police Command their confidence to repolice them even as he promised to make policemen under his command more friendly to the citizens than ever.

Urging parents to always teach their children and wards not to join bad gang that would destroy their future, Prof as he is fondly calls by his admires stamped his foot that he is going to run an open door policy that is going to be second to none in the history of the State Police Command.
