– Seeks Support Of Party Members
Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor has promised he will leverage on the immense opportunities and potentials lying within Anambra to build a Viable, Independent, Secured and Advanced economy in the state.
The Governorship Aspirant made this known while intimating the entire wards and L.G.A executives of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ihiala Local Government Area of his desire to become the next Governor of Anambra State.
Speaking to party members, Nonso Okafor said that if given the opportunity, his administration will use resources in the state to better the socio-economic life of Anambrains, revealing that his policy document is homegrown.
According to him, Ihiala L.G.A is very important in his desire to build a VISA ECONOMY in Anambra especially with its proximity to Owerri, Nnewi, and Onitsha.
The lawmaker noted that apart from road infrastructure, one of the ways to trigger the economy of Ihiala is by resuscitating Oseakwa deep seaport on the Ulasi River that is linked to Osemoto Oguta River, Imo State, which is believed to be the deepest River in Nigeria.

He said that although His Excellency, Governor Willie Obiano has built an airport, the truth remains that Anambra needs a functional seaport to boost businesses in the state. He also said that with the ongoing 1500MW Gas Power Plant currently being developed in Okija, Ihiala is strategic to his plan.
Soliciting for support of potential delegates in the Local Government, Nonso Smart Okafor encouraged them to consider him, noting that he is better positioned to win the election and deliver as Governor, than most aspirants in the party.

On their part, the Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ihiala Local Government, Hon. Chigozie Chukwudum, speaking on behalf of party members in the L.G.A acknowledged the capacity and competence of Hon. Nonso Smart, promising support of the L.G.A.
