US-Based Man Arrested, Paraded After A Gun Was Found On Him (video)

A Nigerian US-based man was arrested and paraded after he was found carrying a gun in Nigeria.

The man identified as Larry Odigie from Benin state was arrested by the police when he went to confront a mattress seller to ask for a refund.

Odigie and another man identified as Victor Jacob from Benue State was paraded. Jacob was reportedly was sentenced by Odige to purchase the mattress.

According to Odigie, he returned to Nigeria for his sister’s wedding and has been carrying the gun around for his personal protection because of the insecurity situation in Nigeria.

He sent Victor Jacob to buy him a mattress but was dissatisfied with the quality and asked Victor to return the mattress.

However, he said that when he asked for his money back – 54, 000 Naira – the mattress sellers refused to refund him his money.

Odigie’s action reportedly caused a scene which attracted people. A gun was found in him after he was searched.

However, Odigie insisted that his gun was for his protection and not to harm anyone. He added that he is a medical doctor and that he relocated to America at the age of 9.

However, the vigilante and police officer who paraded him accused him of being a criminal.

Odigie kept insisting that he’s innocent and asked them to check the gun to see that it has never been fired.

Video of Odige’s arrest and parade has gone viral on social media. It has also stirred up conversation on social media as many Nigerians reacts to the situation of the US-based doctor.
