Startups from the South East are doing amazing things. From tech to production to hospitality, the region is growing exponentially. It is getting harder and harder to keep up with the pace of startups in the region. In fact, it would present a far easier experience to highlight startups in the region based on individual states. But easier is not always better. We would cover the entire region now that we still can. So, here are five startups that have distinguished themselves and are headed for the stars in no time.

MadeinAba.com

For the love of innovation, the Abia state government through its senior special assistant- Sam Hart launched the startup “MadeinAba” brand. It is an E-commerce platform that allows the rest of the country to access, order, and pay for unique Aba products from the comfort of their homes without coming to the city of Aba. This is one of the most needed startups from the southeast.

Aba is located in South East Nigeria and is home to lots of artisans who make shoes, bags, belts, clothes, etc. The “Made In Aba” product is a phrase that’s typically used to look down on these products as inferior. Although this innovation to rebrand the products has not yielded rapid and desired results, it is a very good innovation. If it eventually gets into the hands of good management, it will give these traders/producers a much larger market to sell to, It will also project the made-in-Aba brand to greater heights globally.

Savemore Marketplace Owerri

Savemore marketplace offers sales of food items, clothing, drinks, beverages, household items, etc. at affordable prices that help you save more money. This forms part of its unique selling proposition.

Why You Should Set Your Startup in Nnewi

What is unique about Savemore marketplace is its rapid growth. It has grown exponentially since its inception. As we speak a second branch is opening up in the same Owerri. The company is doing something right that bystanders are yet to get their hands on.

The CEO said they are in business to dispel the existing names in the shopping mall business. It boasts of covering the South East with its malls in the next 10 years.

It is definitely one of the startups from the southeast to look out for.

The founder Mr. Stanley Uzochukwu brought Stanel world, a branch of Stanel group to Awka, Anambra state- an innovation different from the rest. A worthy one.

Stanel World Awka has a filling station, a farmer’s market, a car care center, a saloon, laundry, bakery (arguably the best in Awka), chicken republic, a kitchen, and a juice bar all in one space.

This has no rivalry in the whole of South East indigenous enterprises. The amazing thing is all these services are performing top gear none is slacking.

When you thought you have seen all they have to offer, they pulled the one out of their hats – Fast Chow. A Chinese restaurant in Awka that allows you to order from any part of Anambra and have it delivered to your doorstep. This is new and exciting.

The good news about Stanel is that it dares to be different and hit target marks as a startup from the southeast
