Kingsley Moghalu, former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has revealed when terrorism will come to a stop in the country.

Berating the recent attack on the Nigeria Defence Academy, NDA, in Kaduna by bandits, Moghalu said until attacks on Nigerian citizens, territories, and military institutions are stopped, terrorism will continue to thrive in the country.

Anaedoonline.ng recalls that some gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked the military institution, killed two officers, and kidnapped another.

The murdered military personnel are revealed as; Lieutenant Commander Wulah and Flight Lieutenant Okoronkwo. The bandits reportedly abducted Major Stephen Datong during the attack.

Reacting to the development which has been widely condemned by citizens, Moghalu who contested the nation’s number one political position in the 2019 general elections, said “political, military and counterterrorism leadership is indisputably weak” in the country.

Moghalu in the post on his verified Twitter account on Tuesday, August 24. said: “I condemn the terrorist attack on the Nigeria Defence Academy @HQ_NDA, the death of two military officers, and the abduction of one.”

“This shocking development says much about the absence of capacity of the Nigerian state to defend our territory and our citizens, despite narratives to the contrary.”

“The war against terrorism must be won. It can only be won when the attacks on Nigerian citizens, territories, and our military institution’s END and the terrorists are completely crushed.”

Meanwhile, the former Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, has bemoaned the calls for Nigeria’s break-up.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that the former Deputy Governor who spoke at the launch of his book in Lagos said those calling for the country’s break-up do not know what they are saying.
