Nnamdi Kanu Trial: Former Anambra Governor, Ezeife Denied Access To Court Room

Ahead of the commencement of the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, a British official in Nigeria has arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that the former governor of Anambra State, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, also arrived at the court to witness the court sitting.

The Ohanaeze chieftain was however denied access to court room by security operatives.

Recall that the Biafra leader was reportedly rearrested in Kenya and extradited back to Nigeria on the 27th of June, 2021.

The IPOB leader was then arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako who ordered his remand in the custody of the DSS until his next trial date which is July 26 and 27.

The DSS however failed to produce the Biafra activist in court on the said date citing logistics reasons, hence the postponement of the trial to today.

Kanu, who holds British citizenship, is facing charges of treasonable felony and terrorism levelled against him by the Federal Government.
