Collapsed Building In Onitsha

Three person are suspected to be dead after a two storey building collapsed in Ochanja Central Market, Onitsha, Anambra State.

The incident occurred on Saturday at about 5:45pm

Eyewitness told Newsmen that the building collapsed due to further development on the already weak structure without necessary reinforcement.

Traders were seen rushing to safety with their goods to avoid being trapped in the building.

On Friday, a group of traders had protested against erecting new structures on the existing weak and old buildings.

Another source told reporters that the yet to be identified deceased were on the site when the collapse happened.
