The Department of State Services (DSS) declared on Wednesday that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is unable to wear his preferred clothing due to the presence of ‘Lion head.’
This happened after IPOB leader’s lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, filed a court complaint alleging that the DSS had refused to allow Kanu to change his clothing, despite a court order that he be permitted to do so.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Nnamdi Kanu was spotted wearing Fendi clothing when he returned to the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday with some of his attorneys and relatives.
Nnamdi Kanu: IPOB Move To Drag DSS Before Judge As They Flout Court Order
Remember that before his trial, Justice Binta Nyako had ruled that he be permitted to change his clothes in his next appearance in court.
In response to Ozekhome’s complaint, the judge requested the DSS’s Director of Legal Services to explain the situation.
“My Lord, the defendant’s garments have a lion’s head embossed on them, and the defendant (Mr Kanu) cannot wear clothes with a lion’s head,” he added.
“Clothes with lion’s heads contravene the regular operating rules” of the SSS, according to the secret service’s lawyer.

The court then inquired about Kanu’s preferred clothing.
“I want to wear the attire of my people,” Kanu said, “Isi Agu.”
The court, however, denied his motion, but ordered the DSS to return Kanu’s spectacles, which his attorneys said had been taken away.
