On Wednesday, female followers of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, stormed the Federal High Court in Abuja to demand his immediate release.

The ladies were seen wearing only bras in a video published on social media, with others dressed in ‘Isi Agu,’ an igbo traditional attire, yelling ‘release our son.’

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the IPOB leader was kidnapped in Kenya in June and deported to Nigeria.

He is still on trial before the Federal High Court, which is presided over by Justice Binta Nyako, and has pleaded not guilty to the accusations.

The IPOB leader asked the court to discharge and acquit him without standing trial because the charges were incurably defective and not worth being defended.
