Electoral Act: Buhari Is Under A Curse – Aisha Yesufu

Aisha Yesufu, a renowned social media activist, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for refusing to sign the Electoral Act Amendment Bill.

Aisha feels that the Electoral Act provided the President with a significant chance to create a lasting legacy before stepping down in less than sixteen months.

Many Nigerians are perplexed that, while promising to sign the bill into law if the direct primary section is removed, the President has yet to do so, even after the National Assembly has followed with his instruction.

According to unsubstantiated reports, certain governors and key leaders of the ruling party are pressuring the President not to sign the bill for the time being.

There are also fears that the delay in giving his assent to the Electoral Bill of 2022 could create legal uncertainty, jeopardizing the integrity of off-cycle elections in Ekiti, Osun, including the 2023 national election, which is only 366 days away.

“Buhari doesn’t even like himself!” says Aisha Yesufu, one of the main Bring Back Our Girls advocates.
She sent out a tweet.

“Otherwise, he’d be the one promoting the electoral measure and doing everything he can to get it approved!”

“How can someone spend eight years with no positive legacy?” says the narrator. The folks who cursed him did him a lot of harm!” She bemoaned.
