Mrs. Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s first lady, received a surprise birthday cake from a group of Nigerian governors’ spouses who paid her a visit in Dubai.
The group was in Dubai to congratulate the first lady on her 51st birthday, which occurred on February 17th, 2022.
Apart from the cake, Mrs. Buhari was also presented with a bouquet of flowers.
However, some Nigerians have taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to show their angry reactions to what has been described as a flambouyant waste of resources.
Other Twitter users slammed the first ladies’ conduct as callous at a time when Nigerians are dealing with petrol shortages, the ASUU strike, inflation, and a slew of other difficulties.
Below are some of the reactions on Twitter:
Nigerian Governors Wives fly to Dubai to present Aisha Buhari with birthday cake while Fuel Scarcity hasn’t be resolved & ASUU has dreadlock 😂 done for them by FG.

Aisha Buhari has been in Dubai enjoying her life while governor's wives spearheaded by Fayemi's wife travelled to physically present birthday cakes to her. Same way Stella OBJ and Patience GEJ corruptly enjoyed thiers in their respective ways..

The seat of the First Lady has been dormant as Aisha Buhari is being visited and celebrated in Dubai for fleeing from her people. Nigeria deserves better, May God break this spell that blinds the citizens from seeing the truth about those vying for political offices in Nigeria. pic.twitter.com/3W1DsQu286
