Russia has imposed two requirements on Ukraine in order to end the continuing conflict, which reached its 12th day on Monday.

The Kremlin wants Ukraine to be “demilitarized,” and Donetsk and Lugansk to be independent nations.
For the last eight years, the territories have seen conflicts between rebels supported by Russia and Ukrainian soldiers.
Ukraine must likewise recognize Crimea as part of Russia, according to the Federation.
