When news made the rounds that a certain human being owes Nigerian banks as much as N150B, most readers thought it was impossible for such to happen on earth but presently, what is on ground is that whereas no identity was attached to the chronic debtor referred to in the news item, appendages of the debtor have offered to unceremoniously unveil His identity.

He turned out to be the outgoing senator, Ifeanyi Ubah.

In their own words, they said “for the sake of entertainment, one person owes 150 Billion Naira and yet walks majestically all over Nigeria and outside. No travel ban, no arrest, no frozen bank accounts…”

It appears to me that the person who wrote the above remark lacks understanding of the popular “Odi Ndu; Onwu Ka Mma” Igbo lexicon which is clearly the case of the man whose identity they gave up without anyone asking.

Clearly, there is a higher dimension of wisdom that doesn’t dwell on empty skulls or brains recharged with N200 MTN vouchers.

Their justification of theft is that no travel ban or arrest has been imposed on the outgoing senator whose identity they disclosed; who once sat atop a now liquidated business empire built on fraud.

But which one is actually worse; to be placed under arrest for stealing N150B and thereafter, allowed to keep the stolen money or to be stripped of the money alongside other valuable / money yielding assets home and abroad such as registered and unregistered businesses, completed and uncompleted houses, shares, landed property, structures, tank farm, oil vessels, tug boats, petrol stations, etc then left off the hook with only one residential house in the village to His name?

UNDERSTANDING THE FRUSTRATIONS OF AN OUTGOING SENATOR – PART 2.

Recall that a government report exists which unveiled the owner of the mansion He calls “My House” in Abuja and the open challenge that He proves the report wrong?

Recall that up till now; there is nothing contrary to the claim that He is actually a tenant in the said house after the actual owner refused to let Him have the original papers for which He intended to seek a US$4M gubernatorial loan from Nnewi’s most illustrious son, Chief Dr. Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto; CON.

Indeed, many are the affliction of the outgoing senator who is actually the one running around like a headless chicken; seeking which individual to borrow more and more money from with no intention to pay back.

Since according to His hirelings; He owns heaven and earth; even the air they breathe, and is worth billions of dollars; we ask:

How come no Nigerian bank is ready to loan Him money using His imaginary properties as collateral such that He now depends on private individuals for survival pending the payment of His monthly allowance as a senator?

Why did He take a $1M loan from Chief Dr. Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto; CON to finance His 2019 senatorial since He has money stashed everywhere on earth?

How come His bank accounts have been placed on watch list by the NFIU such that He cannot utilize them for any significant business transaction in Nigeria or abroad?

Why is He unable to complete the “Nnewi Governors Lodge” project He started inside His compound preparatory to His swearing in as governor; wherein He spent part of proceeds of another USD$2M loan from Chief Ifeanyi Ekwulugo (Iykon Nnewi) which He has refused to pay back till date?

Chief Dr. Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto; CON alongside other illustrious sons of Nnewi stand tall above their tiny traducers driven by envy. They all paid a high price for greatness and have no record of owing every Nigerian bank monies running into billions of dollars. Their success is the outcome of grinding hard work and vision not stealing.

Backdoor media hirelings of the outgoing senator have asked if anyone has made as much impact as their “capone” in Nnewi and I dare ask where the impact actually is:

Is it the uncompleted stadium which should as a matter of urgency should be renamed NNEWI ZOO and properly converted to a breeding ground for wild animals?

Is it the Nnewi Cathedral which the outgoing senator leveraged to defraud God of a mind boggling N200M?

Is it the football club that made history as the first in Nigeria where players contribute money to buy diesel so the bus conveying them to play away games in Abuja does not stop at Upper Iweka?

Is it the distribution of franchise to Nnewi youth; especially Ndi Nnewi-Ichi to sell popcorn during match days?

Is it the sponsorship of youth to London; 80% of whom presently have no roof over their heads only to be absorbed into the workforce of prominent industrialists like Innoson, Louis Carter, Ibeto, Gabros, Nnewi Hotels, Ejison and others?

Is it the newspaper that is surviving at the mercy of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu whose printing press (Champion Newspapers) is being used to cover the shame of Authority?

Is it in the proposed private university and 5-star hotel which Gabros has firmly put under His armpit for life?

Certainly, outgoing senator Ifeanyi Ubah is a man of tremendous impact especially in Nnewi and the effectiveness of the impact can be seen and felt everywhere.

N224M Debt: Why Nnewi Catholic Diocese Decided To Take Over Building Of Cathedral From Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

Before the black goat of the family emerged on the stage, Nnewi was known to the world for its entrepreneurial and industrial excellence. Today, the situation is such that comedians boldly mount the podium and make jokes of Ndi Nnewi are serial debtors because of a single man whose character has consistently de-marketed an entire town.

All hope is not lost; this mess will be cleaned up!
