Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, has stated that the feud between Ebele Obiano’s wife and Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, should not damage Igbos’ chances of producing Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that Ebele and Bianca had a spat during Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s inauguration ceremony on Thursday.

Chief Alex Ogbonnia, the Ohanaeze National Publicity Secretary, told Newsmen that the public brawl between the two does not reflect the Igbo people.

“Anyone who uses the Bianca Ojukwu-Ebelechukwu Obiano issue to join the Igbo is not being fair.
We must exercise caution. “It’s terrible that what happened between two ladies should be used to criticize the Igbo, especially in light of 2023,” he remarked.

Mrs Obiano’s husband, Willie, is currently detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, therefore Ogbonnia stated that the organization would move to settle the two females (EFCC).

Ohanaeze will only become involved if the feud between the two continues, he said.

“On Ebele Obiano and Bianca Ojukwu’s reconciliation, I want to believe that with time, that matter will be gone,” Ogbonnia stated. Two people will always get into a fight and then reconcile. It is hoped that the wounds they have inflicted on themselves would heal with time.

“It isn’t likely to be a long-running feud.” So, by God’s grace, it will come to an end like that, but if we discover that it persists, for example, if Mrs Obiano or Bianca begin to make comments after today, that is when it becomes clear that the situation is still lingering.

“By next week, they should be sympathetic to each other. It is only when there is a lingering crisis that there is a need for reconciliation.”
