Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti State, has denied endorsing consensus candidates supported by President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the APC’s National Convention.

In a meeting with Governors elected on the APC platform, President Buhari appealed for stakeholders to reach a consensus for a peaceful convention.

Choosing the party’s leadership through agreement, according to Buhari, is in keeping with the spirit of democracy, the Party’s Constitution, and the Nigerian Constitution.
