Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transport, has stated that he is not a supporter of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the APC’s consensus chairmanship candidate (APC).

Six chairmanship aspirants had stepped aside from the race, according to Anaedoonline.ng, and opted to support the former Nasarawa governor as the consensus candidate.

President Muhammadu Buhari has chosen Adamu to succeed Comrade Adams Oshiomole, who was fired in 2020.

The minister, on the other hand, stated that he supports the consensual approach that resulted in Adamu being chosen as the consensus candidate.

He added that Adamu will continue to see how he will strengthen the ruling party to win the 2023 general elections.

He said: “The new Chairman that emerges will continue to see how he will strengthen the party to an election.
