Following recent attacks on Benue towns, the state governor, Samuel Ortom, has called on the people to rise up and defend themselves against those attempting to seize their land.

He delivered the charge during the funeral of the Second Republic Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Akaai Chaha, in Zaki Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, March 31st, 2022.
