Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has expressed his “deep sadness” at the death of his son Dare last year.
Dare died peacefully in his sleep in Eket on May 4, 2021. He was 42 years old at the time.
He pastored an RCCG church in Akwa Ibom state till his death.

Adeboye explained how he overcame his grief while speaking at the church’s worldwide headquarters along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday at the church’s April 2022 Holy Ghost Service.
A text message from one of his spiritual daughters, according to the revered clergyman, changed the tide.
He said, “When I lost my son last year (2021), then I was deeply in sorrow, I got a text (message) from one of my (spiritual) daughters that suddenly turned the tide.
“What she wrote was simply this: Daddy, let God carry you.”
