Chuks Ibegbu, a leader of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-political group, slammed Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for declaring for the presidency on Monday.

Ibegbu believes Osinbajo’s decision to run for president at this time is ethically incorrect.

This was revealed to Newsmen by the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze.

Ibegbu emphasized that Osinbajo has the legal right to run for President.

He, on the other hand, suggested that Osinbajo and other non-Igbos wait another eight years and let the South-East to dominate Nigeria in 2023.

“Well, it’s morally wrong, though he has the right to. Osinbajo and other non-Igbos should tarry in the interest of national unity,” Ibegbu told Newsmen.

On Monday, Osinbajo declared his intention to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

He made his intentions known after a consultative meeting with some governors elected under the APC, last night, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
