Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Yoruba traditional king and Alaafin of Oyo, will be buried today (Saturday).
High Chief Yusuf Ayoola, the Head of Oyo Mesi and Prime Minister of Oyo Kingdom, said this on Saturday while speaking to reporters at the palace.
“We have summoned the Imam,” Ayoola stated. Baba will be laid to rest about 4 p.m. today.”

Oba Adeyemi died on Friday night at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti, according to the Oyo prime minister.
He went on to say that all of the essential rites of passage had been completed.
The longest-serving Alaafin, who died at the age of 83, ruled Oyo for 52 years.
