Simon Ekpa, a self-described follower of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has replied to purported herders’ threats to assault and take over Igboland.

The herders, according to IPOB, are intending to invade the region in order to take over the land, as they have done in other parts of the country.

Emma Powerful, a spokesman for the separatist organization, said they are unconcerned about the threat, claiming that the location is unlike other areas they claim to have captured.

Similarly, Ekpa in a tweet on his official Twitter handle, said the Igbos only believe in actions, saying “Nigerian news will tell the story”.

He said, “Those expecting us to respond to Fulani terrorists threat of invading Igbo-Biafra community should understand that we are now in the era of action. Those responding to such threats are seeking relevance. Gone are the days we complain. Let them come, NIG news will tell the story”.
