2023: Why Kwankwaso Should Be Peter Obi’s Vice – Deji Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju, a political activist, has recommended Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), to collapse his political organization and collaborate with Peter Obi, the flagbearer of the Labour Party (PDP).

On Wednesday, the organizer of the Concerned Nigerian movement revealed this in a message on his Twitter profile.

Kwankwaso, according to Adeyanju, is solely important and popular in Kano State, but Obi is well-known throughout the country.

He believes that both candidates would make excellent presidents and vice presidents.

He wrote: “Kwankwaso should collapse his structure to work with Peter Obi. Obi is popular all over the country. Kwankwaso’s influence is only in Kano. They will both make a good President & Vice.”

In a Monday interview with Channels Television, Kwankwaso said that if he had joined the NNPP, Obi may have been his running partner.

Following the emergence of an online presidential campaign poster depicting Obi and Kwankwaso as the party’s candidates, there was speculation that Obi would join the NNPP.

Obi, who was not ready to be a running partner in the 2023 presidential election, instead joined the Labour Party, where he became the party’s presidential candidate.

Obi became a member of the LP after announcing his departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

When asked if Obi was contacted about joining the NNPP, Kwankwaso claimed he talked about national concerns with Obi a few days before he joined Labour Party.
