Organ Harvesting: Ekweremadu’s Wife Denied Access To Him In Court

Ike Ekweremadu’s wife Beatrice was not allowed to accompany him on Thursday when he appeared in court. He was the former deputy senate president.

Since they haven’t seen each other since their last hearing, which was conducted a week ago, the lawmaker’s wife requested at the hearing that she be allowed to stand by his side.

However, the motion was turned down at the hearing at the United Kingdom’s Uxbridge magistrate’s court.

On Thursday, the two sons of the former vice president of the Senate also appeared in court.

Peter Obi Prays For The Recovery Of Ekweremadu’s Daughter

Recall that Ekweremadu and Beatrice were detained last week on suspicion of organ trafficking and attempted use of a “underage” subject.

According to Channels TV, the trial that had been postponed until July 7th, 2022, was moved up quickly.

Because Ekweremadu is a powerful figure, a flight risk, and the case concerns a kid and modern slavery, the court remanded him in detention.

A day prior, Senate President Ahmad Lawan said that the Nigerian government had retained attorneys to represent the member and his wife.

Lawan stated that representatives from the 9th Senate will also travel to London to speak with Ekweremadu and his wife over the trial.
