The royal father, who addressed in Hausa, said the President had done his best for the country, and that Daura and Nigeria had benefited greatly from his administration.
“Our President is daring and fearless,” the Emir said. He has given his all for the country. Nigeria and the Daura community have benefited greatly from his hard work and generosity. I ask that we all continue to pray for him and his tenure.”
Shortly after the prayers, a symbolic ram slaughter was also done on the worshiping grounds.
Aside two Armoured Personnel Carriers stationed at both sides of the praying ground, a combination of all security agencies including armed and plain clothed, were on red alert at the premises.

Security agents also frisked all those who wanted to enter the praying ground for prayers.
A security team made up of regular police and troops also maintained security within Daura town.
Governor Aminu Masari and the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumin Usman, also joined other Muslims in Katsina on Saturday in celebrating the Sallah.
