Senator Ahmad Lawan, President of the Senate, read President Buhari’s letter during plenary on Tuesday.

Remember that President Buhari swore in Ariwoola as acting CJN last month, following the untimely retirement of Justice Ibrahim Tanko on health grounds.

When finally confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday, Ariwoola thus becomes the third individual to occupy the top Judiciary job of the country in the life of this administration.
