During the PDP national convention, they mostly served as the governors who organized his presidential campaign.
At the Rivers State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, the meeting was held in secret (FCT).

Despite the meeting’s unknown topic, Channels Television claims that it might focus on the developments after the party’s national conference in Abuja.
Governors Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State all attended the meeting.
Others were Donald Duke, Gabriel Suswam, Jonah Jang, Olusegun Mimiko, Seriake Dickson, and Ibrahim Idris.
