According to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), no Eastern Security Network (ESN) personnel were killed in Delta State.
The police, according to IPOB, have been lying and misleading Nigerians.
According to IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful, there was no shooting incident between ESN agents and police officers in the state.
According to Powerful, the Nigeria Police Force made the allegation in an effort to threaten IPOB and ESN.

The group emphasized that because ESN are trained agents, they have no business confronting law enforcement in a gunfight.
A statement by Powerful reads partly: “We the global movement and noble family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the command of great leader, Nnamdi Kanu wish to inform the public that there was no ESN or IPOB member killed in Delta State.
“We advise Nigeria police in Delta to stop lying and misinforming the public. The second name of the Police should be “Nigeria Police Lying Force” because lying has become part of their job.
“ESN volunteers did not have any gun battle with the Police and no ESN operative died in Delta State.”

According to IPOB, its militia targets terrorists rather than the police or army.
The separatist organization warned the police not to mislead the populace.
The group argued that ESN would remain strong until Biafra was realized and would not be dissuaded by the Nigerian Government’s blackmail.
