Abdullahi, the son of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, has criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for holding the President Goodluck Jonathan responsible for the current security issues in Nigeria.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka blamed Jonathan for failing to take immediate action to quell the insurgency when it was still in its infancy in an interview with Newsmen.

The ruling party said that President Muhammadu Buhari should not be called a failure for failing to put an end to the country’s insecurity because Jonathan was to fault for tolerating insurgency and banditry until it reached its pinnacle.

He said: “It was the same Jonathan administration that incubated Boko Haram to a point where it became a fighting force. Many of them who are in that party really should be hiding their faces by now.

“Jonathan would never have survived the onslaught if he was not defeated by election. A lot of issues we are talking about today were incubated by the same individuals and party when they were in government.”

In response to the report, Abdullahi attacked the APC in a post on Instagram for clearing Buhari but continuing to hold Jonathan accountable seven years later.

The governor’s son claims that the ruling party continues to blame Jonathan rather than taking responsibility for its own failures.
