Members of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum are currently meeting at the Presidential Villa’s State House Banquet Hall in Aso Rock, Abuja.

The governors are meeting to discuss, among other things, the state of the nation’s economy, security, and healthcare.

The state of Nigeria’s economy and security will be top-of-mind at the meeting, according to a statement signed on Tuesday by the Forum’s Director of Media and Public Affairs, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo.

The meeting comes weeks after the governors suggested 33 ideas for the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to implement to salvage the nation’s economy.

Barkindo noted that the NGF is concerned about the economic hardship that has bedeviled Nigerians under the regime.
