Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has outlined why he and the other governors in his group must be respected by the Peoples Democratic Party.
Wike argued that governors should be appreciated because they are the ones running for office and promoting the party through the initiatives they have carried out in their various states.
During the commissioning of the Rivers State University’s Emohua campus on Wednesday, he made the statement.

He claimed that the party’s “Children” governors, who are working on initiatives, might be utilized to run campaigns in their states.
The only states you can see completing or approving projects, according to Wike, are those where children are in charge.
“If a PDP state is not doing well, don’t think you will be voted for because APC is not doing well.
“That’s why the party should respect us and know that we are the ones campaigning for the party because we have what we can use to campaign.
“It’s not to abuse people on the pages of a newspaper or go on television and bring people who have some mental problems to defend something they cannot defend”.
