According to Gbenga Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, has a greater chance than the other candidates.
In an interactive session during a two-day workshop in Ijebu-Ode for council members in the Ogun East senatorial district, Daniel made this statement.
103 council members and 24 youth leaders from the nine local government areas of the Ogun East senatorial district attended the event, which had the topic “Understanding Leadership and Legislative Responsibilities at the Grassroots Level.”

According to the former governor, Tinubu would strengthen the economy and ensure the independence of local governments given his track record.
He argued that Tinubu had proven during his time as the Lagos State governor that he is ready to assign more powers to the third tier of government.
He said: “I look at Asiwaju as somebody who is clear in what he wants to do, as far as the economy is concerned. From a number of the decisions he has taken, when you take a deeper look, you will know he knows what he’s doing.
“So, when it comes to local government administration, if there is anybody who has shown determination to empower local governments, Asiwaju Tinubu’s ruggedness towers above others.”

Daniel continued by advising the APC to seek out those who were still debating who to support and do their utmost to sway them to vote for Tinubu.
