Reno Omokri, a Nigerian sociopolitical activist, ridiculed Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, on social media on Thursday for his educational background.
The former presidential advisor insulted Obi by claiming that even his assistant had a higher educational background than the former governor of Anambra State.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Obi’s spokesperson, Valentine Obienyem, posted the presidential candidate’s degree certificate online on Wednesday in response to criticisms and trolls regarding his qualifications.

Obi received his bachelor’s degree qualification in philosophy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1984, according to the school results published by Obienyem.
However, in response to the LP candidate’s credentials, Omokri said in a post on his verified Twitter account that even his receptionist has a higher level of education than Obi.
Omokri’s tweet read: “Even my receptionist while I was in government has a better degree than Obi. After all this noise on social media, it is only a Second Class degree in Philosophy that your messiah has? Zenith Bank will not even employ such an educationally challenged character!”
A Kaduna-based activist named Shehu Mahdi was criticized on Thursday by Prophet Isa El-Buba, the general overseer of the Evangelical Outreach Ministries International, for his incendiary remarks on the LP presidential candidate and Christians from Northern Nigeria.

Mahdi said in a widely shared video that Northerners, including Christians and Muslims, are subjected to prejudice in the South East, South West, and South-South, regardless of their religion.
The activist, who was born in Katsina, claims that supporting a Christian Southern politician, especially Obi, is equivalent to supporting Biafra and a secessionist.
Shehu further advised Christians in the north not to support Peter Obi, claiming that he is a Biafran.
Speaking about the situation on Thursday, the northerner Prophet El-buba refuted Madhi’s claims that northern Christians reside in the South and added that he is now providing ministry at a church event there.
El-buba further asked northern Muslims and Christians to demonstrate to “these corrupt men and women that their time is up” for them.

When Nigerians are in need, he said, it is part of his calling to go beyond the pulpit. He committed to speak out from the platform with what he called the “advice of God” and to go outside if necessary.
