After making certain allegations about some prominent members of his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike is thought to have left Nigeria and traveled to Europe.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Governor departed the nation around midnight on Friday for an unconfirmed European nation.
Although the Governor’s purpose in Europe was not immediately clear, it is well known that Wike has recently made regular trips to London for political purposes.

The Governor, who has been at the center of the PDP turmoil, leveled shocking accusations against Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national leader. He claimed that Ayu accepted a bribe of N1 billion from a candidate for president for the May 28 PDP Convention.
On Friday morning, Wike spoke to the media during a live broadcast from Government House in Port Harcourt, when he unintentionally uncorked a can of worms.
At before midnight on Friday, the Governor is thought to have taken off from the Port Harcourt International Airport in a chartered flight and left the State.
The governor’s journey outside the country was confirmed by a source in Government House who asked to remain anonymous but was unable to specify where exactly he was going.
