Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, paid a visit to Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, the former head of state of Nigeria, on Sunday.
Along with his running companion, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, Obi paid a visit to Babangida at his home in Minna, Niger State, according to Naija News.
Through a tweet on the microblogging website, Twitter, the LP candidate disclosed the information.
According to reports, the visit is a part of talks for their bid for the presidency in 2023.

Obi revealed that they had informative discussions about the situation in Nigeria during the visit.
He wrote: “Today, my running mate, Dr Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and I visited President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, GCFR, at his home in Minna. He received us very warmly and we had insightful conversations on the state of affairs in our country.”
Obi in the statement also appreciated Babangida for hosting them and giving fatherly counsel.
“We are grateful to IBB for his fatherly welcome and counsel,” the LP candidate added.
