2023: Buhari, Tinubu’s Wives Sent Appointment Letters Privately

Aisha Buhari, the First Lady, and Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, have each received letters of appointment from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council to head the party’s female campaign team.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the letter was secretly presented by the council to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the State House in Abuja, and Senator Tinubu received it the next day at her residence in Abuja.

According to a source who spoke to Newsmen, the council also delivered Nana Shettima, the vice presidential candidate’s wife, her appointment letter yesterday.

According to the source, many additional women who were voted to the council were in Abuja visiting the campaign headquarters to pick up their appointment letters.

He said, “You cannot expect the First Lady as well as Senator Oluremi and Nana Shettima to come to the campaign office to pick their letters. It has to be delivered to them privately.

“But many other members of the campaign team were here today to pick their letters.”

Remember that the ruling party unveiled their campaign list on Saturday, which included the names of 944 famous women and the spouses of important APC politicians.

The “Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Team,” the party’s women’s wing, is anticipated to win under the direction of Mrs. Buhari, who was named Grand Patron.

Tinubu’s wife was named Chairman in a statement released by the council’s spokeswoman, Rinsola Abiola, while Shettima’s wife was named Co-Chairwoman.

Asabe Villita Bashir, a former representative from Borno State who is now the national coordinator, will take over from Lauretta Onochie, a top aide in the Presidency.

Dr. Zainab Bagudu, the governor of Kebbi State’s wife, will oversee the women’s campaign in the North-West Zone, and Mrs. Falmata Zulum, the first lady of Borno State, will oversee it in the Northeast.

In a similar spirit, Mrs. Sanwo-Olu, the wife of Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu, will be in charge of the South-West and Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, would oversee the North-Central.

While Linda Ayade, the spouse of the governor of Cross River State, will lead the women’s campaign in the South-South, Chioma Ikeaka-Uzodinma, the first lady of Imo State, will also oversee the South-East.

While notable APC women like Florence Ajimobi, the widow of the former governor of Oyo State, and Zainab Ibrahim, the APC Deputy National Women Leader, among others, were chosen to coordinate activities in states not controlled by the APC. All governors’ wives are to serve as state coordinators in APC states.
