Theophilus Danjuma, a former minister of defense, continues to hold that the government is to blame for the bandits, terrorists, and insurgents infiltrating numerous regions of the nation.
On Saturday in Wukari, Taraba State, at the installation of a traditional ruler, which he attended, the retired army general made the new accusation.
He claimed that if there is no resistance, Nigeria will be destroyed by the bandits’ attempt to recolonize the nation.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Danjuma has previously accused the government and security agencies of working together to persecute and murder Nigerians.
Danjuma also accused the military of working with the bandits in 2018, claiming that the security services were either unable or unwilling to halt the murder of Nigerians by criminals.
The military officials dismissed his viewpoint as mere guesswork based on the findings of an investigating team formed to look into his assertions, despite the fact that his claims had sparked reactions.
Danjuma, however, asserted on Saturday that despite government and military stances to the contrary, recent events have vindicated him and demonstrated that he was correct the entire time.
The former Minister mentioned the 2018 controversy when he said that he declined the panel’s invitation to look into his allegations.

Despite ongoing government denials, he continued, the truth is now more obvious.
According to him, “When some few years ago I warned that the armed forces are either not capable or unwilling to protect us and that we must defend ourselves, the first denial about what I said came from the ministry of defence.
“They said I was lying and they set up a kangaroo board of inquiry to investigate the truth or otherwise of what I said.
“They invited me to come and testify but I did not go. They wrote their report which state that I was only speculating and that there was no evidence. But now there is evidence.
“The whole country now is being overrun and one very clear thing that is happening now is that these foreign invaders are destroying everything and our government allowed them to come into the country.

“As a soldier, my training teaches me that the best defence attacks. Right now we are all sitting ducks and these people are armed to the teeth with weapons of mass destruction.
Danjuma claims that the robbers’ goal is to recolonize Nigeria and conquer the vast territory.
However, he went on to say that Nigeria must seize the initiative, face the criminals, and drive them out since anything less is perilous for the nation.
He said: “They are trying to recolonise us and take over our land. This country with the largest population of black men is being brought to ruin by absolutely useless criminals.
