Nigerians have reacted to the Federal Government of Nigeria’s acquisitions from the local vehicle manufacturer, Innoson, via social media.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the Federal Government approved a contract with an indigenous automaker, Innoson, on Wednesday to provide 21 vehicles to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
At the conclusion of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at Aso Rock Villa, which was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Information Minister Lai Mohammed informed reporters of this.

He confirmed that the “contract was in favour of Messrs Innoson Manufacturing Company at the sum of N660,422,220 and it’s made up of 20 pick-up vehicles and 1 City Bus”.
According to him, “it is in the spirit of encouraging our local industries that the contract was awarded to Innosons Motors”.
In response to the news, some online users bemoaned the quantity of automobiles the federal government had purchased, while others praised the FG for its strong support of goods created in Nigeria.
