The Security Chiefs have been asked to attend an urgent security meeting, according to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The urgent security meeting is scheduled to take place in Abuja on Monday.

The conference is intended to reinforce the security network across the nation, the presidency stated in a series of tweets.

Buhari would hear updates from the Security Chiefs during the meeting.

The tweets read: “President @MBuhari will on Monday meet with security chiefs in the nation’s capital, Abuja, to further review and strengthen security network in the country.

“The President, who was initially scheduled to commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) new Technology and Innovation Complex, will receive briefs from the security chiefs, and interject on areas that need more attention.

“The commissioning of the NASENI complex will hold at a later date.”

This occurs as the nation’s capital, Abuja, is on terror alert.

Since the United States and the United Kingdom issued a warning about a potential terrorist strike in the country’s capital, there has been palpable tension in Abuja and the surrounding area.

According to the advisory, among other targets for the terrorists were government buildings, houses of worship, and educational institutions.

Many public and private institutions have stopped operating out of concern about an attack by the daredevil terrorist who has throughout the years held the nation hostage.
