After Paying Chioma’s Bride Price, Davido Updates His Status On Wikipedia

Chioma And Davido

David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido and a well-known Afrobeats musician from Nigeria, has altered his marital status on Wikipedia.

According to reports, Davido completed the customary wedding ceremonies for Chioma on Thursday.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the singer’s Wikipedia profile has been updated to reflect his new married status and the name of his wife.

Davido: Why I’m Yet To Marry Chioma

On January 5, the artist completed the payment of the bride price (Umunna) for Chioma at Ezeala Odu, Imo State.

On Thursday, Chioma’s father could be seen completing the Umunna and Umuada ceremonies, further verifying the couple’s marriage in a viral video on social media.

As previously reported in November of last year, the singer married Chioma in secret one month after the passing of their only child, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

There were few family friends present at the traditional wedding, which was held in her father’s home, and photographs were not permitted, according to the article. The tragedy that surrounded their wedding last year prevented Davido from performing his Umunna rites. As a result, in accordance with Igbo tradition, he and Chioma were not legally wed.
