Oyedepo Cautions Youths Against Japa, Asks Them To Stay In Nigeria

Youths have been warned by Bishop David Oyedepo to avoid the “japa” Syndrome (leaving Nigeria for greener pastures).

The founder of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, had a Saturday interview with NAN.

To regain the lost respect for the nation, Oyedepo encouraged the government to heavily invest in the people.

The growth of human capital, according to the chancellor, continues to be any country’s most viable and stable resource.

The cleric emphasized that as education is the cornerstone of sustained national growth, greater investment is needed.

A conducive atmosphere for youngsters, according to Oyedepo, will lessen the number of people leaving Nigeria.

He maintains that moving is not the best course of action, noting that many young people are stranded abroad yet are ashamed to return.

“Parents need to reorientate their children. We all need to stay in Nigeria to rebuild.

“Everyone has a part to play in the recovery of his nation”, the preacher added.
