The former presidential spokesperson, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has been detained, according to the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to DSS, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, gave the order for his arrest.
Dr. Peter Afunanya, the DSS’s public relations officer, confirmed the news in a statement that he provided to ANAEDOONLINE.
Doyin Okupe was detained by the DSS at Terminal 1 of Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos this morning (Thursday) at the request of the EFCC, according to NG. Afunanya.

“He has long been handed over to the Commission, which requested for the action.
“Okupe was billed to fly to London via Virgin Atlantic,” the statement said.
