Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has allegedly chosen the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form to run for re-election.
According to reports, the governor of Bayelsa State has informed his predecessor, Senator Seriake Dickson, of his desire to run for re-election.
According to a source, one of the various support groups advocating for Diri to run for a second term had purchased the governorship forms.

A major officer in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and a close associate of the governor also revealed that the governor’s nomination form had been selected.
Diri is anticipated to run unchallenged for the PDP ticket, as no one has expressed interest in challenging him.
According to news reports, the PDP’s 2023 gubernatorial primary/candidate nomination timetable for Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi showed that sales of expression of interest and nomination forms began on January 16 and finished on January 31.
According to the timetable, the deadline for submitting expressions of interest and nominations was February 6, with screening of aspirants scheduled for February 13 at the national secretariat.
