Segun Oni, the former governor of Ekiti State, has denied working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Oni was responding to a remark by the South West Agenda For Asiwaju (SWAGA) that he is collaborating with former governor Ayodele Fayose to bring Tinubu’s presidential ambitions to fruition.

But, in a statement issued on Friday in Ado-Ekiti by the spokesman for his Campaign Organisation, Jackson Adebayo, Oni stated that nothing could force him to work for Tinubu or his presidential bid.

The former governor called the suggestion that he was backing Tinubu a dishonest and cheap falsehood, and urged his supporters to disregard it.

The former Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate claimed that the APC flagbearer’s footprints were so visible in the recent Ekiti Governorship election.

Oni said that, unlike Osun, his legal team was denied access to audit Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) equipment despite the Tribunal’s directives to INEC thrice.

He said that this was in addition to prior election robberies and legal injustices perpetrated against him by the same person in recent years.

Oni cautioned people not to overestimate his tolerance, saying that he could fathom anything that would lead the issuer of the statement to associate him (Oni) with Fayose in the business of conducting such errands.
