Elections: AIG, FCT CP Meet With Candidates And Party Chairmen(Photos)

Dr. Aishatu Abubakar, the Federal Capital Territory’s co-ordinating assistant inspector general of police, and Dr. Sadiq Abubakar, the FCT commissioner of police, met with party leaders and candidates on Tuesday in advance of the Saturday, February 25, 2023 general election.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said in a statement that the conference covered practical solutions for guaranteeing calm and reliable elections.
She also mentioned that a peace agreement was reached by the participants.

 

Adeh said, “The coordinating AIG for the FCT, Dr Aishatu Abubakar, and the CP FCT, Dr Sadiq Abubakar, alongside heads of other security agencies in the FCT held a meeting with chairmen and candidates of political parties, members of the youth council and strategic stakeholders.

“The meeting discussed practical options to ensure peaceful and credible elections in the FCT. The participants equally signed a peace accord in preparation for the 2023 general elections.”
