2023: Labour Party Sends Strong Warning To Obidients, Media Houses

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has announced that its presidential campaigns are coming to an end.

In accordance with the Electoral Act, the notification was issued at midnight on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

Akin Osuntokun, Director General of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council, stated this on Twitter.

He then asked all Peter Obi supporters, particularly those planning to place any type of advertisement in any media source, to refrain from doing so.

The campaign committee also informed media outlets that they would not be held liable if any Obidient chose to disregard the directive.

They then expressed gratitude to everyone who helped make the effort to reclaim Nigeria a success.

The message read, “We, therefore, wish to advise all Obidient supporters, particularly those wishing to place advertorials of any kind in any media outlets (electronic, print, social media), to note this legal inhibition and be compliant.

“Labour Party or the Campaign Council will not be responsible for any such placement, as media houses are advised to note this directive.
